When they cannot move, the joints can degenerate, become inflamed and send stress signals to the brain, this in turn releases the stress hormone cortisol systemically, and as a result you may feel pain and discomfort. Hyperbaric Chamber

HBOT (Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy) is a non-invasive, safe, and often effective way to reduce inflammation, increase the body’s oxygen levels, and detoxify. A person is placed into a controlled pressurized environment, which simulates being below sea level. A person is placed into a controlled pressurized environment, which simulates being below sea level. The pressures of this therapy enable the gasses (in this case, the gas Oxygen) to change into a more dissolvable form. In this form, the body can acquire higher levels of oxygen, and the oxygen molecules can reach areas of the body that may have previously had difficulty getting enough oxygen.

Dr. Alex was 19 when he sought out chiropractic to get help with his low back pain. After getting tremendous results, he became more and more curious about chiropractic. His chiropractor said that Dr. Alex should explore the profession. With an interest in health and wellness, he was ready to move on from managing the grocery department of a grocery store. He quit his job and began working for the chiropractor. Then, he decided to attend Cleveland University for a chiropractic education. An Interest in Neurology and Addressing Chronic Disease Dr. Alex is passionate about continuing to learn. He studies topics such as functional neurology, ADHD, autism, chronic degenerative diseases such as diabetes, infertility, multiple sclerosis and more. Our society is seeing an uptick in chronic diseases, which are getting more and more complex. I like to focus on what we can do for people with these conditions when medicine isn’t always equipped to handle their case. I’m passionate about helping people. Dr. Alex is a Fellow on the Board of Childhood Developmental Disorders, a branch of the International Board of Functional Neurology. Additionally, he is studying for a diplomate in clinical nutrition and is a Certified Chiropractic Wellness Practitioner®. Dr Lauren’s career started when she was in her undergraduate years working for a local chiropractor in Edmond, Oklahoma. She fell in love with the profession, the results that her Doctor was achieving with her patients and was having a lot of fun at the same time. Upon completing her bachelor’s degree, Dr Lauren decided to attend Parker University for Chiropractic. While at Parker University, Dr Lauren had the opportunity to intern at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Tulsa, OK taking care of patients while they went on their cancer fighting journeys. Dr Lauren has since then taken 200+ hours in developmental neurology, functional neurology, and more. A natural with kids After graduating Chiropractic School, Dr Lauren started working with kids at local after-hours achievement centers where sensory/motor exercises are performed to help increase neurological function of children on The Spectrum ADHD, Dyslexia, and more. Getting kids to do particularly boring exercises for them is not fun but she found she was a natural and loved changing the lives of the kids she worked with! Outside of the Office When Dr. Lauren is not seeing patients at HML she is spending time with her husband Dr. Alex and their happy and healthy son, Kaiper. On the weekends you will also find her with family, friends and neighbors. When he isn’t seeing patients at HML, Dr. Alex likes to spend time with his wife Dr. Lauren and son, Kaiper. They go to church on the weekends and try to do things as a family. Dr. Alex can usually be found reading a book or articles to keep up on the latest health-related research or doing projects around the house for Dr. Lauren and spending time with friends and family. Why such a focus on kids? And the Doctors will say, that they felt like more could be done. There’s a lot of great Doctors doing good work but when they started practicing and seeing these patients, the parents were told that nothing more could be done, and the Doctors disagreed. Drs Lauren and Alex do not want to instill false hopes with parents or patients, but their results have been second to none, especially in situations when people said nothing could be done.
